Just like life, one shaft after another (build log, video added)

The hoistway has been rebuilt, but the cabins need sanding down as they foul the chains in the overheads :)

The cabins v3 have been built, also tried different methods of chain anchorage, but the old system is best, more pics to follow, the hoistway is running :)

bottom rail, this keeps the cabins in line at the bottom, due to the much slimmer design, any slight deviation causes a jam

I also need to make spring clips for the top flaps on the cabins, the slimmer design now requires them.

:)

Looking good! You should 'shop an Emily into that shot. :)

Cheers Adam.

I'd like to thank everyone for following the build so far, the finishing touches are to board up the sides of the tower and install the rest of the signs in the cabins and on the centre posts.

:)

The car numbers are being put on, also greasing of the centre tree :)

all the bugs have been worked out, now to board up and paint the hoistway :)

Cheers Chris and Martin :)

its due a monthly service soon, the bottom bearing blocks are suspect because they are wooden unlike the top ones that are metal pillow blocks, so they will have to be changed for metal ones like in the overheads, also baffle boards will need to be installed between the sprockets and the front of the cabins, to prevent anything in them getting fouled in the drive chain.

(1989 Claremont Tower Newcastle springs to mind there :shake:)

"The paternoster has stopped, passengers please disembark if it is safe to do so, or remain in the car and wait for assistance"

Quick update, I've replace the bottom bearings and blocks, should be a smooth ride :)

Sprocket covers have been added top and bottom

Also added is L brackets top and bottom both sides on each of the cabins :)

The COBI Character Building ones?
If so they don't looks like angels or daleks... Are they just cybermen, or is it a blind-bag selection?
