Ey up darlin
.cor Jan my apologies
i thought I replied days back ,probably feel asleep with my ead in me dinner again and didn't hit submit DOH
Janny the first is sort of classic side on portrait, I 'd like a lower pov you knew I'd say that
but that isn't always a choice. lovely detail mate
Funny though, your shovler I like more.
It's not the natural choice Janny facing away but it's that pose I can see him Jan doing that relate to him, I really like that
Oh Jan a 550d I used to have one, well ok it was meant to pass to shaz but too heavy so my boy has it. I haven't used it for ages but what a cracking little camera
. Regarding the white Jan does the 550 have blinkies on the rear screen . Jann it's so long since i've used that little thing ,me brick is so different. i've not shot alot over water but chimping the hell out of some testers and those blinkies in that breif instant after sutter press would be where I'd go now on blown hilights. but the key here might be what is the brightest thing when wacking out testers,if it's Mr Pin then stop down maybe a third maybe two???
Jan when I changed I felt this area (exp)was very different, between the two cameras...I don't know anything Janny can't articulate it but felt it,
I think with time we live these cameras and start to gain an awareness of the nuances of exp.for our chosen tools. Janny that spell with the hares what I read didn't work, blown hilights on a bright day all ways,I dunno maybe proximaty. But the back of camera blinkies really help me. I haven't nailed it all yet mate but those blinkies are a fine tool. i'm embarassed I can't remember if the fiftly has 'em. you might need to pull back a third over water Jan ,but there's a method out there for sure. Whites they present problems to all of us because our eyes see so much more than a camera same with the darks, But blown white can kill an image maybe darks not quite so much *said the guy fighting with a boar with too much black LMAO" but try and get a quick couple off before hand if humanly poss. Janny we've been chatting for ages you know me I use these constantly
Janny I find exposure really tricky to read, maybe some guys are just gifted ,or it comes to them more naturally ,I dunno. I understand it but getting it spot on,not so much.. But nailing it means your cameras sensor is working to it;s best ,so now ya can push ss iso what ever, there's so much from nailing it,I love having these glimpses that didgi give us that film didn't and it's free such a tool for learning the freedom to just take the shot and bin it.
All the luck.hope this makes sense I'm more of a basket case than normal kiddo
oh mate all the luck with the old bones sorry no reply admire you guys so much!! I am simply am falling asleep and not submitting, ruddy hopeless I am
As an aside and sort of funny I've ,been worried sick of late about me precious lens braking, If it broke I don't think I can get it fixed, for something so expensive Jan it doesn't bare thinking about UGG . So bought a new thang today OMG Jan I'm completely shocked at what I've done,it's cool I've grafted my sox off for this but ya know OMG
Jees one life I guess
or madness who knows??? . But if it works for me then I don't have to worry for years
omg janny lol now I've got no lens and to wait......
really hard to part with my lens is that sad??
lovely to see mate cheers for sharing shovler for me makes me smile
