Taken in May on a visit to West Scotland. I had seem images of the Kelpies before but really didn't know where in Scotland they were. I had just been talking to my husband about them saying how I would like to see them and low and behold there they were. it was a fantastic day too.

I don't want to hijack your thread, so here's a link to a pic I took of them.
They reflect the light quite nicely. This was taken just before the sun set.

That's a good shot of the Kelpies, have you framed the picture to avoid the electric pylons or did you clone them out?

Yes, the light looks really good. I have quite a few shots taken at different angles which I need to have a play with.
 
They are quite special :)
...almost as if they have been designed for photography if you choose your viewpoint and composition carefully.
Walking around them gives you so many different aspects.
Looking at the site it looks almost impossible to get a pic without crowds and pylons, the motorway and bins...


BTW, nice sky.
 
I found them fascinating, yes, plenty people there on the day. I included people in the first shot for two reasons. 1. Couldn't odds it:) 2. To give them a sense of scale. Thanks for taking the time to comment its much appreciated.
