I'm searching for the best thing to manually set the white balance on my D300.

The Ezybalance from Lastolite gets good reviews. Has anyone used one and is it better than just a white balance card?

£9.99 I bought the WHSmith portraits magazine (done with AP Digital Photography etc etc) great mag loads of advice and bingo on the back a grey card and white card grey for setting the Exposure and white for the WB .... very handy and has easy to follow and use instructions which I then wrote on the back to make it easier ......... go get one

Is the Ezybalance the pop up grey/white card thing? If so, I use it and would recommend it.

Anything reflected isn't going to be as good as direct light readings - hence I use the Expodisc when it matters to accurately meter the light source for such as landscapes

Snag is, anytime there's also a mix of light or reflected light with a cast (as everything does reflected) it's not entirely accurate so I don't use them in churches, hotels etc. as the mix cocks it all up - better to shoot raw and choose a suitable WB onscreen later for me :)
