Nope - calbrated several systems/screen without issue XP/Vista/Win7 - and you can just turn it "off" if you get the problem (that's what I meant by it not being permanent) - the calbrator is only connected while you set it up initially.

Few thank goodness for that I like the fact it does it all for me and if it goes wrong I can go back to my monitors own settings.

I did use my remote I wanted to use registax but I had issues with the final processed image and it looked horrid. So don't know what I did wrong there but I will try again.

I think i have done ok with today's image taken with my 600d and the lens i used was a pentacon prakticar 1:1.8 f=50mm.

Thanks for commenting I was aiming for all the words not to be in focus, apart from the top after another image I seen. mind you it's a old lens and not meant for canon and it's completely manual.

It's not far out at all and I think the DOF pretty much recovers it unless viewed at larger sizes

Was my first attempt at using the lens in question, the book was placed inside my light tent and with my big head inside as well there wasn't much room for manovering, I was hoping not to get the back off the light tent in the shot and a few more off the words at the top in focus.

As my mum says practice makes perfection.

Thank you never done it before I took about 30 shots between my two cameras and only two were usable.

After a quick ride out the bike and then half the afternoon spent cleaning and polishing the bike. Then the evening spent tidying up my home i now think its time for a well earnt cup off tea.

Can I just ask how/why you "know" that or are assessing the images like that with regards to exposure Mandy?

Well at least they seemed ok to me straight off the camera before I played about with them in Lightroom.
