Thanks for the comments guys, trying to capture the atmosphere of the event instead of my usual close-up only of the bikes...

I'm really enjoying this thread

some top photos of a top event

I like the "unusual" (not sure if thats the right word) take on things

I cant believe I am about to say this but the shutter is to slow on number 7 for me. Would like it a bit faster LOL.

8 is just mental

Love 9 to. Fantastic.

#8 is just awesome, well done. A great set with some interesting angles and backgrounds, good work (y)

OMG. My dad used to rave about IOM TT's, and delight in telling us about the time the sidecar passenger caught his neck on the kerb and had his head ripped off (no, I don't believe this one, as my dad was a good one for stories).

#8 is a cracker, but all of them are good.

i love number 7 so many people (includeing myself) would try and pan to give the feeloing of speed but the contrast of the guy leaning on the fence to the blur of the bike is great.

A couple from tonight's session in which Cameron Donald (image #13) unofficially broke the TT lap record with an AVERAGE speed of 131.457mph !! :woot:

Some cracking stuff there matey! Mind you, this and the stuff I've seen you post before shows you've not only got this subject nailed but you can also can deliver lots of variation and really capture the whole event.

I am jealous though - I wanna go to the TT! Waaaaaaaaaaaaiiiilll! :D

Thanks again for your comments ;)

Unfortunately, the 1st day's racing has been postponed until Monday because of the poor weather

Here are a few from the final practice session last night (Friday)...
#15
Cameron Donald and Conor Cummins start the final practice session heading off down Glencrutchery Road, Cameron later came off his machine at Kepple Gate dislocating his shoulder :shake:

American Mark Miller tests the suspension on his machine at the bottom of Bray Hill. Not far from the start, the riders speed down Bray Hill in a normally 30mph residential road. They are going approx 140mph, as the bikes reach the bottom of the hill, the bikes bottom out and fairings often scrape the tarmac...

I will get there one day, not just for me but for my dad again, he loved it there and spent many years popoing over to the TT! Was meant to go with my dad back in 2007 but sadly he died in the feb.

My uncles over there but i think he'll prob be in the paddock with his mates somewhere.

Good stuff! Keep it coming!

Sorry to hear the weather is crap! Is that normal for them to reschedule like that?

Sorry to hear the weather is crap! Is that normal for them to reschedule like that?

Normally they postpone it for a hour or two and then review the situation, but the forecast wasn't good all day so the organisers made an early decision to postpone it for the day

Fingers crossed for the weather next week

They are all really good, and now, way too many to choose from.

Fantastic photos! Love that last one of the sidecars. I didn't realise they did this at the TT! (both sidecars and all racing at once, that is!)

Will get to the TT one of these days.

Dave, very nice work mate, lovaing the inclusion of the scenery too.

Where the one of your relative taken ?

Hi Kris,

He's no relative, just a popular name over here ;)

It's taken at Kate's Cottage, just above The Creg ny Baa
