My Exhibition opened last week

I've lived in Spain for 5 years now and took up photography a couple of years ago. This Thursday is the inauguration of my Exhibition of photographs at the Town's Museum. I'm so chuffed, and very scared, as they are expecting me to give an introduction to my photographs and I'll need to do it in Spanish and English

I'd much rather be out taking candids (there aren't any in the expo by the way) than standing up and talking to a bunch of people, even though I was a lecturer for many years, as I feel shy about my pictures as it's a very personal relationship between me and my camera.

The feedback on the pictures so far is good as a few people I don't know called in for a peek just as I finished setting up and they really liked them, so it's not that. But it doesn't help that I'm in the middle of an MS relapse

But at least there'll be wine afterwards

I know how you feel.. I have only had one and all the towns important people where there for the opening.. wine and snacks..exhibition ran for 8 weeks.. i will look to do another one at some time because however nervouse you are now.. you will be proud as punch by the end of it

Oh wow, good luck. I can only aspire to one day being a good enough photographer to exhibit my pictures to jo public - you must be so excited!
Post some pictures of the actual exhibition if you can, although I guess as 'photographer-in-chief' at the exhibition, you won't get much of an opportunity to take any pictures!

It was a great night, although a little overwhelming, but people made very positive comments about my pictures, so I'm well chuffed
