weekly NCF15 52 for 2023 Week 52 Showcase

Good mono image for the theme.
Dog adds interest and you’ve captured it in a good location.

The railing shadows create a nice shot.. and the inclusion of Taff of course.

Nice shot! It's all about the pooch :)

Nicely composed and exposed retaining the colour in the sky.

Moody sky, lovely light on the house and grass, almost minimalist, like this a lot.

That's a belter that is :)

Week 19 Fragile + Tech
25 photo focus stack, partly to get the tech out of the way and because it gets all of the flower in focus whilst keeping the background blur of a wide aperture.

Beautiful. And technically excellent.

Love the detail of the little hairs and the cobwebs in amongst the flowers. As you say, you can stop down to increase dof, but that does compromise the background.

Well done on the stacking. Lovely image as a result and great background blur.

Lovely shot and as Graham says technically excellent.

Week 20 Robust
Not many things more robust than a woodpeckers bill. This pair are nesting right above a footpath in a local wood. Difficult to miss as the young are continually squawking for food.

Brilliant shot, love it.

Oh, that is an excellent capture, well done.

Lovely 'pecker!

Great shot. Nice and sharp with good bokeh.
Also, emerging from the hole in the tree is a bit different than the usual woodpecker shot.

Wonderful shot Nick. Great eye to capture it as it was just poking its head out.

Lovely shot of the juvenile, you've caught an excellent pose.

Lovely shot. I hear them much more than I ever see them. The certainly have robust beaks and heads given the volume!

Week 21 Near by
Bee Orchids are not uncommon locally and seem to like the most unlikely habitats. These are in the grass verge of an industrial estate just down the road. Other local sites include a reclaimed rubbish tip and beside a new block of flats.

It’s always nice to come across an orchid in an unlikely place Nick. This is a lovely shot.

Fab shot Nick.

Lovely shot. You've captured the "bee" part of the plant really well.

Excellent shot, as Helen said you have captured the "bee" part of the plant very well. I never knew these exsisted!

Week 22 Irregular
What with strikes and electrification engineering works trains here are certainly not regular.
