Nikon or Kenko teleconvertor

Yes
Looking at buying a 1.4 teleconvertor for my Nikon 300f4 lens, I know this question has been asked before, but I would like the ‘latest’ opinions if you don’t mind.
Nikon or Kenko? The Nikon TC-14E is £305 with excellent reviews and the Kenko Teleplus PRO 300 DGX 1.4 is £190 also with excellent reviews…..£115 is a lot of money if the IQ is as good as identical.
Anybody had/have both and can confirm whether the additional cost is worth it or that I would not notice any difference between the two. The lens will be used for birds, bugs, general wildlife and close up flora.

I think I’ve made my mind up to go for the 1.4 and not the 1.7……but there again!

Generally I will be using a monopod when out and about with the combination….which ever I choose.

Thanks

I honestly don't think you will find any new opinions - this has asked and been answered many many many times.

I have both - and I've answered this at least 6 times this year so if you search under my username it'll save my blood pressure and a groundhog day experience :)
