Finally put a roll through my M3 with the new 50mm Carl Zeiss Sonnar f/1.5. Thanks @justpix for your help earlier in the thread.
I really like this lens. The operation is smooth and much easier than my rigid Summicron. Very pleased with size and weight too. It's perfect for what I wanted it for. Results look really nice at "standard" apertures (i.e. over f/2) and I still have work to do to get that f/1.5 aperture nailed. I tried the focus shift thing, but I probably need to take a photo of a ruler to see if it's out and by how much.
This isn't really a very good image, the forum has softened it, and it was on Neopan 400CN which I developed in B&W chemicals because I couldn't wait... /excuses Will put some HP5 through next because that will sing.
