Sounds about right mike ,one thing I have learnt is unless it’s a really bright day shoot in shutter priority and set the speed higher than normal for a.v mode , be carefull using auto iso in a.v mode as it normally chooses. 1/640th sec as the speed which is to low for the 100-400 .
