Oh dear!
For what its worth, I wouldn't have thought that Richard's original post was trying to promote his own business.
It may not have been that helpful, because I'm a complete novice when it comes to website design, but the expanded version was.
I'm beginning to think that its something i should ask a professional to do for me, anyway.
By far the easiest to set up with - with a very small amount of products (which you have) is Wordpress + Nextgen + the nextgen ecommerce template
http://www.wordpress-ecommerce.com/wordpress-shop-using-nextgen-gallery-and-wp-shopping-cart-7
The installation is simple, and if you fuind a theme you like, the job's almost done, and modifying the theme is very easy (as easy as themes get)
You do need to understand a minimal ammount of code (to make the prices show nicley) but you do get a resonably flexible system
If you want multiple products for the same image - i.e. cards + photo's + different sizes - then look at gallery2+Paypalcart this has a lot more options, and a steeper learning curve, but ultimatally is more flexible
http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&so...sg=AFQjCNGy2p6M7YKPboA4esRk35Yo-osaog&cad=rja - the site seems down today. Again there are a limited bunch of themes availabel. Modifying them is a lot harder though
If you want to have optional frames and albums etc.. then you need the zerncart bridge, and thats reasonbably hard work
You will need to template Zencart to Gallery2. There is 1 theme thats available for both G2 and Zencart where everything is joined up. If you like the theme, you can set this up with little fuss. If you dont like the theme, there is a lot of work to do
You could look at Joomla (lots of themes available) - with virtuemart, and put product options in as atributes. You will need to make sure your virtuemart theme joins up with your joomla one, or just ride with what it gives you. Templating is pretty tricky, and only really tackled by people with a solid understanding of PHP, HTML and CSS. However, there are loads of templates available, and you may be lucky and be able to swap a few images about to make a fairly unique design. However the end result is a very flexible site that sells stuff and has loads of options for extensibility down the line

Alternativley you can look at some of the pre-hosted options like clickpic. To my mind they all look sameish, but you have very little to learn
From here where I sit:
Clickpic sites all look the same
Wordpress is good if you want simple, and you dont have many products, and you dont mind doing things 1 by 1
Gallery 2 is a dream if you have 100's and thousands of images - it manages them well, and getting them on the site is simple
Joomla+virtuemart offers loads of options, and is extreemly flexible and extensible, but styling it beyond the template you choose is a nightmare for the uninitiated
