Anyone know where to get a good aftermarket battery from? How do you know which to avoid?
Using 7dayshop spares myself, but I recently purchased some energizer branded ones from them. I was thinking branded 3rd party should be less risky to use.
as above, 7dayshop..
Neil, have you used their LP-E4 and does it report properly?
A lot of cameras nowadays have software that recognises legit batteries and will give error messages and shut down when fitted with 3rd party ones. Just check your camera isnt one of them first.
Otherwise, get one from a reputable dealer or ones that are recommended by others.

Any good OEM/aftermarket battery as a substitute for a Nikon EN-EL3e battery for a D200 ?
Also, is this one genuine ?

Thank you
none of our canon batteries are original now.
theyre all aftermarket.
higher capacity (mAh, so last longer) and cheaper than the overpriced genuine batteries.
Never heard of a camera that shuts down when it finds a hooky battery ?
