Where do you guys n gals get your photography prints from ? ? Got a few 10”x8" done at Asda and the quality was very poor.

DSCL.

I had a problem with dscl, with an order that went missing in the post. They weren't very helpful, friendly or willing to do anything about it. They just kept saying "wait another week and contact us again, you should have used the express delivery option if you wanted them by a certain date".

Nearly 7 weeks after a realistic delivery date they agreed to reprint and I received the order a week later. So around 2 months after placing the order I received them. Not impressed, especially as their attitude towards me could be summed up as being "you should use express delivery if you wanted your prints within 2 months".

Now correct me if I'm wrong in assuming that it's not unrealistic to expect prints to turn up within a couple of weeks using the standard delivery? And if they don't turn up by then, then something is wrong and should be acknowledged?

Nothing wrong with their prints, I had used them before and was happy but after that display of customer service I won't be using them again. I've had better service in currys.

I now use photobox, prices are near on par and I can't see any real difference in quality, they suit me fine for my needs. Best of all they turn up in a timely manner.

But is that at your end or theirs. If you are not colour managed and send off images then they are more than likely to come back with poor colour matching and contrast. I've had prints from asda and been pleased with the results.
