Nice to meet another Fuji Fan! I love my S3 Pro, even though it's getting quite old in digital terms, now. I also use Nikon, but the S3's great for portraits and weddings.
Nikon for me. I went that way because on buying my first D-SLR a second-hand nikon D70 was cheaper than a second-hand canon 10D. The D70 also looked to be the better of the two cameras for my purposes.
1.5 years on and I'm happy that I chose nikon, I really love my D200. It just feels effortless to use.
I have a Nikon cos my Dad uses Nikon and I prefer the feel of them in my hand to the Canon at my price level, I always said I would consider a Canon if i were to buy a 'Pro' level camera because of the noise handling, but now with the new Nikon's coming out that appear to have as good if not better noise handling than the Canon's. Then roll on Nikon.
I don't know why I chose Nikon, I had this thing in my head before the digital age that Nikon were the best. I wouldn't knock Canon or any other make when on this forum you only have to look at the excellent standard of the images displayed, and this has little to do with the brand used but it's the skill of the tog behind the camera that counts.
I have 2 Nikons a D70 & a D200 does that count as 2 votes
