It's only two streets away from my work office too which could be dangerous in the future.
Always gunna be skint alert
I've just noticed that the RCC now have a shop in Liverpool, anyone been yey?
the kids think I’m a celebrity now
Chloe (my daughter) was pointing out a few wooden folding cameras on the shelf
You best not do school run now.....You'll be swamped for autographs!
She could get a straight exchange with that multi lensed thingymajig that she has / had........It has to be a rarity now and worth a mint! ( Can I have it back, cos I'm skint!!?)
This Lomo multi lens camera :0)
Let me know your address and I’ll get it in the post, along with your pen drive which I forgot I still had!
Yes that's the one …..Pretty cool innit?
For goodness sake, i don't want 'em back ( I was pulling your leg! ) Tbh I don't even recall the pen drive.
What would I do with a lomo camera?...….I'm going larger and even larger format not miniscule lol
It could maybe go on a "world tour" at some point I guess, like the travelling zoom......assuming of course that it's owner ( Chloe) would like to see it do that
Appologies Andy, @Andysnap , as usual I've diverted a thread.....
so the kids think I’m a celebrity now
Well don't go in on a Monday, as the shop doesn't open. What sort of a business is that? I'm glad I was going into town anyway and the logos in the window all look impressive.think its time to go shopping in town
Even horses have to stop for a rest every now and then. Thanks for the heads-up on that though.Well don't go in on a Monday, as the shop doesn't open. What sort of a business is that? I'm glad I was going into town anyway and the logos in the window all look impressive.

from a post on there FB when I asked if open on a Sunday
John, it is my choice to open neither shop on Sundays. I'm sorry if that is inconvenient for you.
Not everyone is the same. I used to volunteer for bank holiday work when it was going because I much preferred time off when the shops were open. I have a friend who liked nights when he was on the railways because he thought the work was more interesting. All the emergency services must be staffed 24/7 - I'm sure that those who dislike weekend opening would be unhappy if they rang 999 on a Sunday to be told that ambulances and paramedics only respond Monday to Friday between 9 am 5pm...until they have to man the the very same services that they demand to be available because it interferes with their social life / family time!
Bargain! Saw two of those at Aperture in London - £15,900 and £14,500. I guess that accounts for 3 of the 350 ever made.Blimey they have an Ilford 35mm camera for £12 grand!

I posted the reply so everyone could see the open hours
I respect your view but many people have quite a different view as shown by the way our society is developing. That rarely exists now ….Every day is considered the same….. Quite sad really.
I respect your view
Yes, and from what I can see of that development, it appears that everybody wants to go to heaven but nobody wants to die!I respect your view but many people have quite a different view as shown by the way our society is developing.
For many, many years the John Lewis store in Cambridge didn’t open on Mondays so that all staff got a two day break. Hardly a small retailer!Well don't go in on a Monday, as the shop doesn't open. Their website does mention that they sell film, I wonder what their prices will be. I hope their attitude to customers is better than another business specialising in old cameras which is just the other side of the Main Bridewell (now a hotel would you believe|?)
Whilst in town I managed to test out a Canon command back 90 for a T90 which works perfectly and is about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike. I think it's time for an ebay listing.

I'm old enough to remember when they didn't allow Sunday trading and you had a boring day every week.I’m old enough to remember when they relaxed the laws on Sunday trading.
I’m old enough to remember commuting to work on my T Rex

Maybe you don't see it as a 'commercial orgy' because you have nothing to compare it too.Must just be what you are used to.
Like I said Sunday has been a pretty normal day in Scotland (at least the heathen lowlands) for as long as I can remember and society hasn't collapsed into a commercial orgy, well no more than the rest of the UK.
