50D will handle much better, but senor I would wildly guess is better on 550d, including video.

Depends what you want it for 550D has the best IQ but 50D has better handling and speed
Just bought a 550D just getting used to it only thing against it that I can see is it can only shoot 6 raws before the buffer fills
