It's realy look like the site of rolantrade doesn't exsist already. Now a real question is if somewhere the police department is well done its work and please if someone who is already contacted with police office and have any information about the situation we all will be so grateful to know.

pour ma part la seule chose que j'ai tenté c'est d'avises la direction de la consommation et des fraudes europeenne pour leur demander une marche à suivre dans pareil cas et bien sure de prendre une mesure de protection pour que plus personne ne se fasse piéger, sans trop d'espoir de réponse !!!

même presentation, adresse en angleterre . Après un essai de la boite mail pour voir !! impossible d'envoyer quoique ce soit Il serait bon qu'il y ai moyen de mettre en garde de nouveaux adeptes pas encore echauddés par des sites comme rolandtrade!!!

Je suis dans le même cas que toi. Je crois que tous les européens devraient s'adresser au même organisme. Peux-tu nous communiquer le mail ou les coordonnées de l'organisme que tu as contacté?

I am in the same situation. I think that all european persons should address their claims at the same institution. Could you please give us the mail of the one you have already contacted?

J'ai moi aussi contacté la CGCCRF, par mail ud75@dgccrf.finances.gouv.fr car ils ne répondaient pas au téléphone ; mais je ne sais pas quoi faire d'autre... Peut-être y aurait-il quelque chose à faire au niveau de leur banque dont nous avons les coordonnées (les dénoncer afin qu'ils ne puissent pas fermer leur compte avant de nous rembourser ?!).
Oui je sais le père-Noël n'existe pas m'enfin, comment cela peut-être si facile de se faire piéger... :(

@Sylvain : Où déposez-vous votre plainte ? Commissariat de quartier ?

Fudji, as tu déjà porté plainte dans un commissariat?
J'habite Paris et pour moi il est évident que le fait de regrouper les plaintes françaises fera qu'on aura plus de poids! Car plus d'argent impliqué!
Où habites tu? Et les autres français?

Dans tout les cas je préfère me dire qu'on a 0.0001% de chance de retrouver l'argent!

Concerning French people, Fudji also says that we have to go to the police and if possible make a grouped claim.

I believe that if we all work in our own country first then make a bigger group we may become important and have a bigger impact.
Let’s see who get answers first...

dans l'immédiat j'attends une réponse éventuelle de la direction centrale de la PJ à PARIS informée de l'affaire ,
Je crains malheureusement que nos escrocs soient désormais intouchables et qu'il faille faire une croix sur les euros versés. Ma démarche est faite en priorité pour éviter à d'autre de se faire pièger , il est nécesaire de faire le ménage sur le net dans la mesure du possible.

Hello, Im also from Austria and Im also a victim of Rolandtrade. Maybe you could tell me what I should do? Is there an organisation that could help us to get the money back? I ordered a Canon 7D for 1246,- ... :bang:

the police called me back and they said that this "peter clous" is from Urugvai and that the internet provider that he is using will not give eny information about who is standing behind this site.this is now a international meter.we shoud all step together and do something becouse one by one we are to small fishes to do something.

i paid 715€...
 
I hope all these guys were sensible enough to pay by credit card. It's really upsetting seeing so many folk get ripped off at this time of the year.

The Criminals really wind me up. But Xmas i best time for anyone to make money genuine or a criminal.

And every year you always hear all these stories. Two or three rules followed and people could have been safer.

1) Search for the company you want to buy off if there is nothing good or bad said probably too new so maybe worth avoiding.

2) Ring or contact via email before you buy if replies are like standard replies or they don't reply the i'd give them a miss. A call is better if they can't be bothered taking your call they don't want your money

3) Don't trust them any more if they say Our Partners etc and on a Photo site it's like Microsoft and Cisco even if they actual photography partners so what does not mean your getting any better a service.

And as they say if it's too good to be true then it probably is not true.

Hope this rip off merchant catches something there is no cure for

What should we do??
 
I very nearly was a victim of a very similar fraud not so long ago. I ordered and paid for a 70-200 f2.8 from a website which came up on one of those search/review sites. I went for the best price, ordered and paid with my debit card. I don't know why but I suddenly had a very bad feeling and did some googling and my heart sank. The number of results coming up in google about this particular website were sickening. I was straight back on there sending messages asking for a refund. The website pretended to be a UK based company but it turned out it was based in California. Some people had got deliveries but they were always something else, not what they ordered. Most didn't get anything at all. I kept emailing them, all I got were standard auto responses, then I did get a real answer to which I replied again. I must have emailed them twenty - thirty times badgering them for a refund, threatening legal action all the time (I have no idea what I could do though!) and in the end, shock horror I got my money back. I couldn't believe it, I thought I'd lost £800 forever. What a relief. I was very very lucky, most still haven't got their money back.

The thing is, I am normally very careful about money, especially that sort of amount. I have no idea why I didn't check them out first, I just clicked the order now button without any hesitation, with hind sight I should have known better, and it's easy for others to say what I did was stupid, but for some reason these scams are very easy to fall victim to. I still don't know what it was that set the alarm bells ringing in the first place, something just wasn't quite right with the wording and the way the site was put together.

Leason learnt now and I will be much more careful in the future. I can't remember just now what the site was called but I'm pretty sure you will have seen the name before. I will post the name later on when I have remembered what they were called. The annoying thing is I now know the man behind this particular scam is known, his operation is known and he is still out there doing it. Anyone know Arnie's email address?

Es tut mir leid, dass du auch reingefallen bist. Ich habe folgendes durchgeführt, indem ich meine Bank verständigt und um eine Refundierung des Geldes gebeten habe. Die andere Möglichkeit wäre , einen quasi Verfolgeauftrag bei *** Bank einzureichen, dies ist leider kostenpflichtig!
Ansonsten habe ich wie ich schon erwähnt habe, diesen Fall bei *** !nterpol gemeldet!

Vielen Dank für die schnelle Antwort! Ich werde mich morgen an *** Konsumentenschutz (AK) bzw. an *** Verein für Konsumenteninformation(VKI) wenden. Die Bank werde ich auch informieren. Was hat Interpol dazu gesagt? Gibt es dort einen Ansprechpartner?

Hi everyone.
I'm from Portugal and i'm another victim of Rolandtrade. Yesterday i went to Policia Judiciaria ( some kind of portuguese FBI) to report this fraud. Now i'm waiting for news but no hope of getting my money back.
