finally got out with my bronica sq-a today. hadn't used it outside before, but i just had to shoot a roll of film quickly for college. needed to develop some film in a developer other than ID11 to try and get a merit/distinction for my darkroom breif. i used kodak HC110 for this. planing on using some other devolopers ilford sell, and maybe an obscure on of digitaltruth.com to get my mark up.

really like these shots, the others from the roll are either nothing shots or out of focus. really wish i had gotten closer to the table shot, could be so much better if the ash tray was more visible. seriously love the camera though, fully in love with medium format/6x6 now.

ill post up my final shots for my first breifs soon, just about finished them all. political landscapes, social documentary and character portraits.

I really want some of that ektar 100! Love the feel of those shots Javier. Here's one from my latest venture in West Brompton:

Great updates, "tjs" I really like what you are posting.

Urban scene look so good on black and white, looking forward to more.

These Jupiter lenses are smashing for the money, I'm astounded how clear these images came out. Mind you I bet the film had a lot to do with it, the colours are so vivid!

Nice colour! I love Portra.

Its impressive how much time you've spent on it. I don't get to shoot as much as anyone would like :(

Do you mainly just take your camera and go out and shoot street then?

sid

One of the things that I do, is use my lunch hour to go shooting. I also park far away from where ever I have to go. I don't mind walking a few blocks or even miles if I have time, as photo opps are everyplace I look. Everytime I drive around town, I see opps I am missing because I driving instead of walking.

Right - time to bring the quality level back down again...

A couple of shots of Victoria Tower, overlooking Huddersfield...

From the Front

and the Reverse Angle...

shot a couple of days ago on Ilford Delta 400, processed in Ilfosol 3,1+9, 7 minutes. Scanned on Canoscan 8800F/Silverfast SE.

Thought I'd try out cross processing. The velvia came out SO red. Don't think I'll do it again haha.

This is a multi exposure done in camera.
Thinking of entering it into our local Camera Club comp.

If nothing else it will either make the judge say nothing  or

He will comment on the "noise' to which the reply will be "Its film grain and its meant to be there"

here's a couple more from scotland last June (late or what)

1. Boat on Skye

2. View from Husinish

both originally taken in colour, but only because thats what was loaded at time

Here's a few taken with Ujjwal's Ricoh 500G on Kodak BW400CN film, processed by Tesco's using their 1hr service. Photo's have had a little tweaking using Picnik on Flickr, although nothing much, maybe a little cropping and exposure adjustment.

I was in a film shooting mood today, so I was off on a little walk. I ended up driving to China town and had a nice time. It was quiet and peaceful. 78 deg temp and slightly breezy. As far as shooting went. It was a rather dry day as well. These where my favs.

Nice images Javier

Do people in your part of the world not mind you pointing a camera at them?

Seems to be a bit of an issue with a few people here in the UK.

It depends on context. When I go to the shady parts of town, it could get really dangerous, but for the most part, it really comes down to how one presents himself. I am very obvious in my street shooting. I don't sneak around or hide. I shoot very close and try to become a part of the scene. This works for me most of the time.
