You do question if it's worth bothering...

I had a girl trying to book a shoot last week, for today. No problem, just pay your booking deposit and I'll reserve that appointment for you. Can I pay it when I come for my shoot? No, sorry, I can't book it without the deposit.
She comes in yesterday to pay the deposit. She is 14 years old - I didn't know that when I spoke to her on the phone. The shoot is her, and 2 friends. I tell her they will need an adult with them...OK, they say. The diary is pretty full, but I squeeze in a 3pm slot.

They turn up at 2-30, and say 'oh, we're just going for a coffee' - yeah, that's fine. They stroll back in at 3-05, all clutching bags from McDonalds...'Oh, can we eat this here?' - yeah, go for it, stink out my studio with your junk food...but the time you spend eating is eating into your studio time...oh, and do you have an adult with you? No...well, I suggest you call one, sharpish, because without that, I'm not shooting.

It's now 3-15, they have finished eating, we are waiting for the adult (who is apparently on his way) and they then inform me they want to do 3 outfits each!

LOL, I don't think so...grrrrrrrr

breathe in, breathe out, and put the camera down, pick up the Uzi, do some real shooting ;)

Jesus, one of them has just plugged in the ghd's...can't see much getting shot before my next appointment tbh...and I'm not messing my next client about because of this trio...

You should really have told them they needed to be ready by 3 then?

Took my models two hours to get ready on my last shoot. Took me 15 mins to do the lighting. So we went to McDonalds! lol

So- did they get any shots? Were you ready for the next client?

Yeah, I managed to get a few done...eventually...but yes, I most definately was ready for my next clients, who were lovely, thank goodness. I'm not prepared to overrun and keep clients who have turned up on time waiting around...it's not right imo.

My colleague is currently doing a viewing with a couple of parents and possibly the rudest child I have ever had the misfortune to shoot. Horrid little brat! I wouldn't let my children behave like this thing. During the shoot, the feral little turd actually pushed over one of my heads, and tore down a backdrop...seriously...parents hardly said a word to it...I gave it 'the look of death' which seemed to calm it down a bit.

I can hear it squawking away, I just want to bust in and shout at it...do you think that may have a negative impact on the order? :D

Let's just hope none of your "valued" customers stumble upon this thread ;)

To be honest, I'd tell them to their face that their little cherub is in fact a little ****** :D (though I guess they already know, it's pretty obvious)

I resent that...
Sounds like you are having fun

LOL! Yeah, laugh a minute....it's been one of 'those' days today...once this viewing is finished, I'm locking the door and opening a beer ;)

(and then editing until midnight)

Oh dear. I'm sorry but that description of that child is the funniest thing I've read in ages. I guess we have all come across one like that at some time. Trouble is...............they grow! :)

I could come up with several descriptions of it. In fact, I may entertain myself later, seeing how many derogatory yet amusing phrases I can think of to describe it. :D

Thankfully, they seem few and far between - kids are usually, ace, I LOVE character in a child...but this thing is something else. I hope it falls down the stairs.

Oh dear! I'm glad I've stumbled across this thread as it's caused me to break out into a silly-looking grin. :D

aaaaaaaand relax......phew.

They've gone, and they've taken the turd with them...and the order was reasonable.

The turd has practically emptied a huge tin of quality street single handed, so with a bit of luck:

a: It will be on a sugar rush, and won't sleep for hours.
b: It will get chronic diarrhea.

:woot::woot::woot:

Now....where are the Peroni's?

Let's hope it's both

Thanks for a highly entertaining account of your day!

You THOROUGHLY deserve that Peroni tonight ;)

I'm sorry you've had such a bad day, but to be honest, I hope you have many more!

That was hilarious! Thanks for cheering up a cold winter's night!
