The Premiere League have linked up with MIND to raise funds for the charity. I think this has to be as first. The proceeds will be split between MIND and the respective club Foundations which support mental welfare within their communities. Football clubs do a lot of community work which, I think, in the main, goes under the radar.

On talkSport I heard Eddie Hearne, a sports promotor, mainly boxing now,I think, and he was telling how he went to a hotel in the Caribbean after the Euros and saw Jordon Pickford and related a tale about that and he also related a story about seeing Raheem Sterling in Ibiza a couple of years ago when Sterling thrilled kids on the beach by playing football with them.
