Just thinking about it I think the one make I think I might be wary of is Fuji as there do seem to be a few reports of cameras locking up or actually failing in one way or another and one model (I can't remember which but I think it was a fixed lens camera) seems to have a quite terrible reputation. And as the claims of being anti this or that and being a fan boy are often thrown about I'm neither a knocker or a fan boy, I'm just relating what I've read on this and other forums.
It doesn't seem to stop them being popular though. If I was buying one I think I'd wait a year when any new model comes out to give them time to iron out any issues.
I think he just wants an excuse to ditch SonyYou may want to read about Nikon UK in the d750 thread if you think the grass is greener.
Lol been shooting longer than you with SonyI think he just wants an excuse to ditch Sony
How is Nikon being crap a good excuse for Sony being crap. That just makes them both crap. You may want to read about Nikon UK in the d750 thread if you think the grass is greener.
Maybe. Doesn't mean you don't wanna jump ship lol [emoji23]Lol been shooting longer than you with Sony
I don't need find a reason or justify anything. The above statement I have made before many many times, it's nothing new
I think @jonneymendoza and @Riz_Guru have had positive experiences and very fast turnaround. Sony has upped their game big time.... not so long ago they didnt even have pro support.
Change of topic, since I started this whole argument [emoji23]
Samyang 35mm 1.4fe or sigma 35mm 1.4 art?
I've watched a load of reviews and people favour the samyang image quality surprisingly, even though I imagine they are both decent. The sigma is more expensive but comes with a 3 year warranty.
Did you have the fe sigma or an adapted version?I've had all 3, incl Zeiss, optically the sigma is best... By a fair bit.
Didn’t they just have to tighten the screws with a Philips though?

[emoji1] The native version looks like they just fitted an adaptor and then smoothed it over. I'm half tempted with the samyang.Adapted on a7rii, native on a7iii.... As for your next question... Native without a doubt.

Or get the sigma and stop faffing about and listen to @twist and others who have used all 3 lenses lolGet the Samyang then.... And then sell it and buy the sigma![]()

I shoot Sony mainly because it's the only manufacturer that offers FF EVF cameras (bar Leica) since A99 days. Soon that won't be unique to Sony so they'll have to do something extraMaybe. Doesn't mean you don't wanna jump ship lol [emoji23]
Stick with Sony mate. Stop looking and start shooting.
Any cheaper alternatives to the 70-200 that can do decent low light sports? Any longer primes our there that might work?

If I find something better all things considered inc. costs I'll jump ship otherwise I'll stay. Simples![]()

Nikon has the super wide mount for the £6000 0.95 Noct lens nobody can afford [emoji1]From the outside looking in (I'm following Canikon with interest but have no intention of buying) I can't see what the new systems offer over Sony. I don't have legacy Nikon AF lenses and I'm not a blogger
What does the Nikon offer that's got you interested?
[emoji44]I couldn’t make my mind up so I bought the Sony 35 f/1.4 and the Sigma 35 f/1.4 and will just return the one I decide not to keep. They both arrived today. Camera won’t be here until the end of the week though.![]()

I'm not rich enough yet to afford the Sony one. Why can't they do a 35mm 1.8 ffs.
I dunno, I'd probably be happy to pay a similar price to the 55mm 1.8Because it wouldn’t be much cheaper than a 35mm f/1.4 I would imagine so why would anyone buy it.

Maybe they should bring their prices down a bit [emoji23]. Looks like it's the sigma [emoji1306]If the 2.8 is like £650 and the 35/1.4 is £1500. You are still looking at £1k ballpark for the 1.8. It's not going to be cheap

400mm 2.8
Why cheaper? You've been using the similarly priced FL?
The Nikon and Canon ones wont be bargain prices and if Sony did a compact one for £800 or less and it was really good, maybe 55mm f1.8 size and good, I'd be happy enough.
