I didn't actually take many photos as I was taking video instead, unfortunately it was so windy you can't hear the car's engine over the wind noise

I'm not a big fan of black and white TBH, so it's not something I do very often.@Ed Sutton
Nice I prefer the b+w personally not sure which program you used I was thinking Silver efex or similar for lots of contrast
What do you think of it?
Yes, up in the Sibylline mountains towards Umbria. About 60cm on arrival and it is snowing again, forecast to carry on for two days. Glorious!Looks fabulous Ian - is that the Marche? Our son in Switzerland said they've had quite a lot of snow recently.

The rumor site says there's a bunch of new cameras coming in the next few months.
Today big Sony rumors coming! | sonyalpharumors
Today at around 3pm Berlin time I will post a BIG Sony rumor. And I have to apologize to you...there seems to me much more exciting stuff coming from Sony than I anticipated! We are going to get a BUNCH of cameras within the next few months! - I am now working on the finalwww.sonyalpharumors.com
Anyone waiting for anything?
I think the only thing that could interest me is an A7cIII with the do everything back screen and 1/8,000 shutter or auto switching to the electronic shutter above 1/4,000.
I just bought an A7cii, so this is the most likely announcement.
Alpha rumour's saying may announcement for a7r6.A new A7R6 is most likely followed by new A7C, series camera bodies maybe even an A1III.
I’m not waiting or for anything, and I’m a bit ‘concerned’ that future bodies are going to have the grip of the A1II and A9III meaning it’s highly likely I’ll stick with the A1 for a very long time. The rumor site says there's a bunch of new cameras coming in the next few months.

I hope they all do I love the A9III ergonomics.I’m not waiting or for anything, and I’m a bit ‘concerned’ that future bodies are going to have the grip of the A1II and A9III meaning it’s highly likely I’ll stick with the A1 for a very long time.

Are you processing these or is that the colours you are getting straight out of the A75? The colours seem very flat. I don't remember the 50 f/1.8 being so flat.
Processing. It's taken me a while to knock the contrast out of Sony files and I still can't tame the viewfinder's excess contrast! Are you processing these or is that the colours you are getting straight out of the A75? The colours seem very flat. I don't remember the 50 f/1.8 being so flat.
It would make sense if they give the A1 III a global shutter.I can’t see this being true, there’s no need for the A1 series if they do this. Also wording like “professional AI Autofocus” makes me think it’s fake.

True, but they'd likely wait until an A1 with global shutter is out I think. Also, wording like "professional" AI autofocus makes me think it's bogus, nobody descibes AF as professional, hobbyist etc.It would make sense if they give the A1 III a global shutter.
Although I think it’s more likely that the A7R6 will get a partially stacked sensor.
The drive dial is one of the things they use to differentiate between prosumer and pro bodies so would be surprised to see that on any of the A7 series bodies.True, but they'd likely wait until an A1 with global shutter is out I think. I wonder if they'll ever put the drive dial on the the A7 series and R series, I use that a lot.

High contrast and horribly vivid colours - definitely the electronics.I'd have thought high contrast was rather a lens thing than a camera thing?

I've set the picture profile to something less garish and the EVF and screen look much better and the files still process OK. I can understand why some people refuse to move to mirrorless from OVF cameras.
It has nothing to do with the files which look fine and I have nothing against EVFs as a viewing option (although I still consider their benefits marginal). This isn't something I've come across. Are these jpeg's or raws?
Imo the Sony cameras I've had have given a pretty neutral and even subdued look as opposed to some other brands which give a more coloured output and by coloured I mean affected, removed from reality.
On ovf v evf, I'd only go back with a gun to my head as ovf's are too limiting for me, for me evf's have too many advantages but we're all free to choose.
Sony EVF's aren't the best imo, I don't like how they go 'grainy' when you're autofocussing. I can't say I've noticed oversaturation or anything with mine, it looks quite natural to me. Of course, this will be user dependant. It has nothing to do with the files which look fine and I have nothing against EVFs as a viewing option (although I still consider their benefits marginal).
It's what I'm seeing in the A7V EVF that is awful. But I seem to have just about got it sorted now.

I've never liked Sony profiles and is one of the reasons I don't shoot jpeg. For a long time I used color fidelity profiles but lately I've been using adobe ones as I like how the reds look in adobe.
If you shoot in crop you only get the crop image, but regardless of the ratio you shoot in I believe you will always get the 3:2 in raw.Guys, if I shoot in crop/apsc mode in RAW, do I end up with just the cropped apsc image in LR or full size?
I know if I shoot in 16:9 RAW I do actually end up with the full 3:2 image if I want it.
