You can't use both the trade in bonus and the cash back deal together can you? ffordes say you can. Are they wrong?

Currys, if your quick. Use code IMAGING50 this weekend and it will bring it down to £419 after cashback. Otherwise, it's generally priced the same everywhere, Amazon, WEX etc.

The 16-50 is a really nice lens, the 18-55 is faster and better built but it also costs a fair bit more.

I emailed the company running the cashback scheme this question weeks ago...no response. The T&Cs don't say you can't, and the trade-in bonus is administered directly by the retailer, so it should be fine as it's a separate process.

Nothing says you can't, and I would argue the case if they refused ;)

Fairly certain the Fuji guys at the Calumet open day were actually highlighting the trade in and cash back offers together as an incentive to upgrade. I don't see any issue using both tbh.
 
Some sites are mentioning LMO is this within the body of the camera or the lens.

AFAIK LMO is purely software based that uses info from the lens aperture and focal length, as well as info from the camera to correct for lens flaws. It is unclear whether LMO affects RAW, with some places saying it does and some saying it doesn't.

OK so further research would suggest that LMO is not applied to RAW (which makes sense to me as it's a processing 'trick') but you can use LMO during RAW processing in camera, which obviously creates a jpeg.

Yup this is very much what I've read.. so it really not a useful feature for us Raw shooters

I phoned WEX you can use both with them

Got a old canon D60 may part ex against a Fuji X-T10 to see if I like the Fuji .. =£160
 
Good afternoon guys, some advice please. I'm looking for a new tripod, I've had a look online but not in the shops yet. I like the look of the Manfrotto 190Go with the 3 way head, which is a good price at the moment. It will be used for everything from landscape to studio. So one, is this a good choice as a do it all. Or can you suggest some alternatives? Weight wise It will be used with a X-T2 with and without grip

Great shots Andrew! And what a cracking location. I think some of them are good candidate for mono processing too - you can always push the drama a bit further in black and white without looking silly. As regards the ND stopper, well of course it opens up new possibilities. But I think a lot of landscape togs reach for it too reflexively. There's nothing wrong with water looking like water... :-)

Thanks David I love it here 40 minute drive from home and part of the Peak District. Thought it would be busier than what it was but only dig walkers and togs out. I do have some black and white photos as well, here's some more.1479644732316.jpg1479644739764.jpg1479644745709.jpg

I use the Velbon Ultra Rexi L (now superseded by the Ultra 655 or something), with giottos ball head adapted to take the manfrotto RC2 plate do that I can use it with my peak design RC2 attachment. Buying now I'd just buy the manfrotto 496 head. The velbon tripod is sturdy enough to use with my D750 and heavy lenses, lightweight, fantastic easy to use legs locks (one twist), extremely compact yet tall enough for me at 6'4". OK it's not as sturdy as your dedicated studio tripods but it's more than sturdy enough for every use I've had, and can be used for all occasions. You could probably even take it on holiday.

I have the same tripod, with a Manfroto 3 way head. I got it because of its compact size so it would go into hold luggage on a plane. Works well, I often use it with my birding scope & a ball head.

I did not come from anything. Only added the Fuji to my equipment for specific purpose in mind. I did sold my backup body which is nikon d700 for this. I still got my nikon d3 and all the pro glass.
