Yes, he is very pleased with it. He originally wanted a standard BB but the shop has the bronze one and I persuaded him to make me spend an extra £500 - which when I think about it, I regret hugely. Neither of us knew how it would age but it does look nice. He thinks about restoring it to new from time to time but has resisted.
I had worn a crappy Citizen for the past 20 years but getting my son this watch got me interested in watches. So I got myself a Bremont but was then sucked into the world of cheap Russian and Chinese watches so now I've also got an Okean, a Big Zero and a Seagull 1963 (plus a fake Rolex and modded Seiko Fifty-five fathoms). I rarely wear the Bremont any more and by far the most accurate watch I have is that old Citizen. So the BBB cost me an awful lot in the end!
