Yeah well but you will need it... maybe one year
Nah, it's getting fired so regularly that occasionally it goes into overheat protection mode. Couple of hundred shots of the badgers a night will do that.

I really wasn't thinking of adding any digital cameras to my collection, that was until I come across a D1H boxed and unused.

I have a printer, a nice wee printer, an Epson XP8600 but it is running out of ink. OMG! How much for ink? Okay, a quick look around and if I bought the newer XP8700 I can then subscribe for ink and a couple of quid a month doesn't seem so bad does it. Hmmm, what to do? The voices are out to get me. . .

I've always drooled over the Sony a1 but too much money :(
Now, if I was to sell my 3 Sony bodies - a7c kit, a7R4a & a9, then that would go a long way to achieve my dream

BUT!!... I really need a new computer first as my PC is ancient and is really struggling with my 61mp images and some of the new software packages

What does the A1 do that your other cameras don't do? genuine question; not snarky.

I went and got a Sony RX100M7 off eBay the other week. :$

I did get a M7 before this one which was damaged when I received it (unseen in the pics), and got this one the week after sending that back, and thankfully it's mint. :)

I have the M3 and the M5, and after finally using the M5's AF and high fps recently, I wanted a bit more range. Got to try the M7 in the wild last week. I should not be able to track birds at 20fps with something this small. :$

Just got to look into selling the M3 now to claw some money back.

My GAS is sated again. ;) :)

Go for it Mike :D

I've had a lot of upset in the last couple of years and my outlook now is that if you/we want anything and we can afford it and we're not hurting anyone we should go for it :D

I recently spent £79 on a TT Artisan 50mm f2 :D

I have had GAS for old rangefinders from the 50s and 60s. As I spend a lot of my time in the world of 35mm film images, image quality from my very modest 10y old mirrorless Samsung NX cameras with a couple of lenses is awesome in comparison. even my older Oly E420 DSLR remains very capable (in my eyes). Gosh, I hope I don't catch real GAS like some of you have. OTOH..... film is getting expensive.

Well, I see it as a Jack-Of-All-Trades.
Almost the resolution of the a7R4 - I'm sure I wouldn't see the difference that 11Mp would make for landscape.
Better than my a9 for wildlife.
Unfortunately, not as compact as the a7c, however, I have an even more compact RX100vii that could possibly take its place

Thats what I'm always being told by my other half.
I think it's the Scottish mentality that stops me
Perhaps someday I'll take the plunge.

Well, if you can offset with trade ins then it will take the bulk / decision making out of packing more multiple bodies (and associated accessories) just in case x,y or z happens and the RX could be your back up. Makes sense to me in that context, especially if you are not shooting commercially and need gigantic prints.

Time will tell ;)
At the moment, I'm living off my savings until Govt pension kicks in next year so watching the pennies.

I need to start selling some cameras I’ve still got the d70 d200 d3 d7100 d750 d850 and the z6 hehe
I was going to say you have me beat, but I have just counted and I have one more, :$ though in mostly smaller form factors. ;)

I loved the D70 when I had it. Only got it because my hands were too big for the Canon's of the time. I needed to sell that at the time to get the D200. Thankfully not had to sell to buy since, though maybe I should have.

I bought my first digital camera again a few months ago for the nostalgia, a Fuji S602Z Pro, as it was stolen along with a Fuji F31fd, Nikon D300 and some lenses about 12 years ago. :( It was weird how alien it felt after so many years, and using it so much back then. It was also larger than I remember it being. Memory is a crazy thing.

Now I have a Canon S95, Sony RX100M3, M5, M7. Nikon D200, D300S and Nikon D500. Of those the only one I would sell would be the RX100M3, if I can get off my f*t **s* to do it. I don't think the Canon is worth much, the D200 was my Time-lapse camera for awhile. D300S is my favourite camera, and the D500 is the main camera when I go out with intent to snap. ;) I think the (recently acquired) RX100M7 with be the 'always have with me' camera, and the RX100M5 is my new other Time-lapse camera, replacing the M3 as it gets downgraded in the pecking order.

And with all that, the GAS has ended again for me. :) It's been a good ride, but not interested in mirrorless, and I think I have the best cameras in their categories in the RX100M5/M7 and the D500.

For those who still have the GAS itch, may you get what you want at very good price(s). ;)

I'm severely in need of help!!! After acquiring my D700 for some strange reason I started looking to see if there were any low shutter count Nikon D70 on the market.... Came across a mint boxed one with a mere 1276 shots...... and now it's in my possession.. My first DSLR was a D70 and it cost a hell of a lot more than what I paid for my latest acquisition!!!

When the D70 arrived it came with it's original box, which when sold new was as a D70+ 18-70mm AFS DX kit, The 18-70mm lens was not included but all the other accesories that were supplied with the camera when new were in the box..... Since getting the D70 I've been keeping an eye out for a mint 18-70..... Well, the addiction has struck again thanks to MPB notifications!!! I've just taken delivery of a mint in box 18-70mm lens

Although not in mint condition, I picked this up for 1.8% of its original release price, it's pretty impossible to find them in this condition.

I was worried that I had reached peak GAS, but now I want a Canon D90! :$

Peak gas approaching - sprouts will do that to a nation!

I do a bit of 35mm film shooting. And yes, IQ is very much different to my A7 and its good lenses! Still enjoyable though and I most enjoy shooting night star trails.

Medium Format is quite popular for star trails..... See where this is going? :ROFLMAO:

It's still a thinking stage though because as much as the Pentax/Mamiya are beautiful, I need something much lighter ideally!

It seems I got carried away & have ended up winning 3 separate auctions for Thornton Pickard shutters!
It leaves me with no excuses for not using my 5x4 monorails nexts year!

I am, and have been for a couple of months, resisting the urge to trade in my Olympus set up for a Leica Q2. The thing that makes it easier too resist is the fixed focal length....

So as the wrapping paper has probably been ripped off by now, confess! My wife is in bed having Covid so come on, give me some of your Christmas gear confessions. I am very pleased that I still have not bought a Leica Q2. Ho ho ho!

Best look after the wife is my advice, GAS can waite.

OK, not *exactly* GAS, but I ended up being 'given' a Harley Benton Aeolus semi-hollow guitar for Christmas - I ordered it and then the family contribute towards the cost. It's not exactly GAS because I'm doing more paying gigs now, and it didn't seem right to be playing a £35-off-ebay First Act.

The Aeolus is a lovely guitar for those who care about such things, and in conventional set-up form as it is now, it has a very precise feel and tone to it. Once I've changed it around for slide (tall nut, heavy strings, raised action) it will be a much more energetic instrument to play, but right now it just needs a feather-light touch. It's so nice that I'm seriously debating converting one of my other instruments for slide and keeping this 'as is'.

In terms of GAS I still want an A1 and 400mm f2.8 but that’s just pipe dream GAS ;)

Looks very photogenic, too (y)

Right now I really want a new camera, not really sure what. Not seen anything that made me part with my money yet. Almost bought a X-H1 but notice the X-T4 used prices are falling rapidly. Thought about A7R3 but then I want the updated 2nd gen version and not many of those out there at a good price.

I guess I will keep my money longer until something turns up.

Also, tempted by the PRS S2 on sale right now with £900 off! But I don't really need another guitar, I have more guitars than I have cameras.
