Here's mine. Reduced saturation, altered curves etc in rawtherapee.

PS Liked photoimaging's snowy effect

I’m off out so this is a little early.

Winner is Joan, I like how you have lit the lamp and added the snow, well done.
Runner up is TooLate as I like the way the image has been de-saturated to keep a feeling coldness.

I did a couple of versions of this image both had selective exposure corrections to lighten up the areas in shadow they also had some dodging and burning done.
The Black & White one was converted using Image/Adjust/Black& White then I added a stone texture (inspired by the gravestones) on a new layer and adjusted the blend mode to blend into the image but it was 2 years ago and I can’t remember which blend mode possibly overlay of soft light.

Very simple old fashioned look.
Cropped, sepia tones, vignette, texture added and border all done in photoshop.

I'll move this on now as it doesn't look as if there's much interest in it.
So with Wally Boy off to the sunshine I declare Swansea Male the winner

Well despite the lack of oppostition I really liked Joans effort, it's fairly similar to my own finished version (although I haven't got the birds) Well done Joan and over to you.

Thanks......Is it worth me posting a new pic or has the interest waned on this thread?

So......is anyone interested in continuing this thread?

Shame, it was good to see the variations of "proper" editing rather than the Hmmm.. shall we say "over the top" fun edits. Nothing wrong with those, but nice to see the other side of the coin so to speak.
