The Ultimate Guide to Filters for Landscape Photographers

Drew, thats a great article that explains the different types of filters in a concise yet easy to understand way. I am still fairly new to photography and although I have a decent polariser, I haven't played much with ND's etc.
Many thanks for taking the time to write the article - thats me off to the camera shop to get some filters!!
 
I note that in the part of your tutorial where you discuss screw in-types, you make no mention of step up rings so perhaps you might consider amending to include this.
Saying that "if you have many lenses, you’ll most likely need to buy different sizes" gives a misleading impression as that is not the case. I think you should make your readers aware that they can use these cheap accessories as a means to avoid having to buy additional expensive filters.

Nice write up. Some awesome information there.

Only thing I would mention are adaptor rings. If you use a WA lens on an adaptor ring thats a non-WA you will get vignetting.

You don't always have to change filter systems either, for example a 100mm Cokin Z series will fit into a Lee filter system.
 
Great write up. I've just started using filters and am really enjoying using ND filters. I'd like to buy an ND grad but haven't known which to go for, so this has really helped me out. Thank you
