A couple of Green Dock Beetles...

A Pinocchio Fly - well, it does have a long nose...

They are Ok shots
The second is a scorpion fly male I think but I cannot clearly see it's tail.

Do they have pincers on their abdomen, I've seen them before and they do, most have been pretty small, but spotted one the other day with really big ones.?

The male has claspers on it's abdomen and if you hold one by it's wings it does everything to imitate stinging you, which of course it can't. If you didn't know that though, you would probably drop it just in case. Great mimicry.

What you have that is smaller is different no idea what I think this is Panorpa communis

Second is definitely a Scorpion fly Nice shots.

I find those beetle really difficult - they are so reflective. I like the scorpion fly best - one of my favourite flies. I don't see it very often more's the pity.
