Something I have never seen in any of the Photo pages I read. Including ones partner . . . ?
Perhaps its me, but we like to do thing together when practical . . .
Hazel is disabled, back pain and not being able to stand up strait, we thought about it, she needs a walking stick, so a mono pod replaces walking stick, plus ball head with removable plate.
We now have two cameras, three if you count the Canon A640, all have swivel screens. G1 is light, with a great 3" screen, ideal for Hazel, she also has the A640 with swivel screen. I use a Nikon D5000, very under estimated, produces great pictures, the problem is the guy behind it
The point is, when we are out, which has not been much this year due to health issues for both of us. With a swivel a screen, we can both see on the one camera, discuss framing, image inclusion, colour requirement etc.
Hazel or me will never be much good at picture taking, but, apart from the initial cost of the camera, 'togetherness' dont cost a lot and its fun
Would work with kids as well, give them an interest, instead of Dad always hiding behind a camera?

Like it used to be in the old days, every one wants to see the end prints when they arrive back from processing . . .
