Welcome to the very first TalkPhotography Awards (2008).
An idea by badgerbaiter and, er, someone else (I'm sure they will jump in and correct me!), which was pitched a few months ago.

It's a 'just for fun' contest where the members nominate each other for various categories. Like the TV Choice Awards, but much much more glitzy.....:D

The categories are listed in the nominations thread.

The actual voting will be done by the staff, behind closed doors (bribes not accepted, I've already stocked the whiskey cabinet up :p), however, all the nominations are done by you :thumbs:

Nominations will close on Sunday the 21st December, around 8pm, with the results being announced a week later. During this time, the lazy staff highly expert panel of judges will fall asleep and get drunk over christmas retire, and realise theyve left it to the last minute, drunkenly plucking random names out of a hat give careful consideration to every single nominee, before choosing on a winner for each category.
This is with the exception of the two Staff categories. These will be decided by a member driven poll :)

Ive copied the list of nominations down, and will stick it by my desk. Gives me time to think about it :)
 
Sounds fun Marcel but why can't we vote? I would have thought that was idea behind the orginal thought.

Ok we know who will win Spammer of the Year but let's have a popular vote.
 
are votes allowed for members who got banned or not?:thinking:

[10:37] cyk: i'm neither. not a small time poster, not a spammer. not a bird freak and i also don't really post that many photos. i'm just expecting villain. i'm one of the few bad guys who is cunning enough to still be around ;)

can wer have a prize for the person who received the fewest votes! i may get something then!
 
I believe we should all have the vote not just the mods/admin so here to borrow from some certain campaign from the last century!

Nice to be nominated n all but I think it would be nicer to be know for my photography more than my villianness.

Villainness? Is there something you're not sharing? I always thought you were a bloke?
 
I don't think we were clear enough ;)

For the photo nominations, we need an actual link. You're nominating a photo...not the member.
The same goes for best thread, post, and discussion :)

in that case please everyone that nominated me, move the word 'badgerbaiter' from motorsport photo to hunk.

Ah bum. What if the photo I would like to nominate was months ago and I carn find it now? Won't the name of the author do? nicely? :help:
 
Youbforget some of us fools take our photos down or move them breaking the links, god we are bad on here. :lol:
