I have been using the TTG slimbox gallery for Lightroom to create web galleries for quite a while and never had any problems.

I have just realised that it doesn't work with the latest version of google Chrome that I am running. I have tried to find support for it on The Turning Gate website but they no longer even mention it.

Can any of you kind folks (who have Google Chrome on a Mac) please look at this gallery and see if you also have problems opening the images?.

Any suggestions on what to do? I have quite lot of galleries on three different sites that all use this gallery so would love a solution.

Doesn't work for me when I click a sub-gallery. Just get a white "bar" that opens then just sort of stops...

PS: I'm on Windows, not Mac.

what happens if you change the order you load the scripts?

also, have you varied the mootools library? you re loading 1.2.1, this is up to V1.3 currently
I do recall that the slimbox guys also released a new .JS file too

Hi Richard,

I'm afraid you have to assume I know very little here. I used the template for Lightroom, export the gallery and upload it to my webspace using FTP. It's worked fine for a long time and have only just started having trouble.

If you have a second could you explain your questions so an idiot could understand?

Doesn't work on Chrome 9.0.576.0 on Windows either (Chrome Canary beta build).

The old galley is using erlier versions of the scrpts

As an experement, copy the entire contents of: resources/js/ from the old gallery... into the resources/js/ folder in the new gallery

(back up the new one first)

In addition to that, the new gallery is loading in a new script called boxhover, you could also try re-naming that to boxhoverX.js, and seeing if it suddenly springs into life

At the moment you are just trying to find out which is the offending script, if after you do all of this, it starts working (even if the images are the wrong size) you wil have your starting place, revert the script back one by one untill you isolate the offending script, then you will have an answer

No change on either Chrome 7 or Chrome 9 for me....

Thanks for the advice guys - I found a forum at The Turning Gate, and it turns out they no longer distribute or support Slimbox Gallery.

In case anybody should come across this thread in the future, it would seem that by downloading the latest version of slimbox from here and replacing the mootools.js and slimbox.js files on the site with the latest ones it seems to work.

Richard, I now understand what you meant!

Thanks everybody for your help.

OK, So if I want to replace two files on the server with the latest version but in multiple directories (loads of different galleries) is there an automated way?

It would probably be easier to replace all the files on the local version and then upload the entire site again, any automated way of doing that?
