hi,
can someone please help, i have recently sold my panasonic FZ20 to someone from ebay, my problem is he is claiming there is a MAJOR fault with it, probably best if i let you read the message he sent to me and a couple of test photos then judge for yourself, but personally i cannot see his problem, so please take a look and let me know what you think.
(this is his message)
The camera arrived this morning. I was very pleased with its cosmetic condition. Unfortunately when I came to test the camera I discovered it has a major fault. I am uncertain as to exactly the cause, but when viewing magnified images certain colours, particularly red, are leaching out into surrounding areas. I can send you examples if you wish. You may not have noticed this if you have just been using the camera as a simple 'point and shoot' without enlarging. Nearly all my work however requires enlarging a small area of the image.
This is clearly a fault that is covered under the guarantee, but I wanted this camera for a holiday I'm going on soon, and have no idea how long it might be away. I would be interested to hear what you think about this.
Regards.

Hi there,
Thanks for your reply. I attach two examples of test shots I took in the garden this morning. If you magnify the pink flower and the orange leaf you will see the problem. I don't think its only red that has the problem, but its the one that shows the worst of it. I imagine this is a sensor fault but without contacting Panasonic I can't be certain.
I did try a different card to eliminate that possibility, and also tried different white balance and colour settings, but to no avail. I took some replica shots with an Olympus C765 UZ that I have also, just to make sure I wasn't going mad, but as I suspected they were fine.
Regards.
UPDATE.. JUST CHANGED THE HOST OVER TO IMAGESHACK AS I WAS ADVISED THEY SHOW THE FULL SIZED IMAGES.
if anyone can explain what this guy means i would be most grateful, as personally i can't see what the problem is,many thanks to you all in advance.
