How big was the Cadburys Oreo? £2.20 for a 120g bar in Morrisons. The price of chocolate in Sainsburys and probably everywhere else too. £4 for a bar of Cadburys Orio and also £4 for a packet of M&M's. I didn't buy either.
Also why is there no thick chocolate any more? It's all wafer thin.

As for thick chocolate, Tony's Chocolonely are my faves.
Move to Sainsbury's and buy bigger!

Sounds like the bar @Nod linked to above.
Cadburys no longer make chocolate. We currently buy Sainsburys Dark Chocolate Bars or that 70% stuff which is expensive. The price of chocolate in Sainsburys and probably everywhere else too. £4 for a bar of Cadburys Orio and also £4 for a packet of M&M's. I didn't buy either.

We did the tour at Chocolarium Ljubljana and it was interesting to see what was involved with making chocolate and I can see why it must be difficult to sustain.
I think it could be up to three cacao pods to make a moderate bar of dark chocolate and each pod can have up to 50 seeds/beans. Then there were things like how few pods a tree would produce each year among other variations and also the limited places and conditions where these trees can grow, I couldn't help but wonder how there can be enough of these trees to even make all the chocolate that we have.
Then there are the other two less common bean types that they talked about, the "serious" chocolate. I can't remember their names so I've looked them up: Criollo and Trinitario beans.
Mrs WW likes dark chocolate with a minimum of 70%. Still wafer thin though.
I'm trying to cycle more, especially when the weather is good. But God damn those older diesels that pull out on you, then accelerate hard leaving you to cycle through their Euro 4 carcinogenic wake.
A gorgeous young lady once told me that the only chocolate was Lindt and that you had to put it in your mouth and let it melt until you had a chocgasm! Well, I tried it with several of the girls in the office and the noises they made and the faces they pulled were, as she said!Used to eat (far) too much chocolate but now restrict myself to a single Lindor ball every evening. Spend far less in the long run.
Some of them that I get stuck behind in traffic queues don't need to accerate, it's bad enough when they are idling. The air recirculating does help, but only for shortish periods.I'm trying to cycle more, especially when the weather is good. Toney’s dark almond is my downfall, I try to make it last 3 days but have only made it once. How big was the Cadburys Oreo? £2.20 for a 120g bar in Morrisons.

The palaver of doing ID checks when selling and buying property! For a start, not everyone has a passport or driving licence! My driving licence expired over a month ago. Luckily, it was accepted. And then there are the fees. Twice!
That was for both Estate Agents. Just to go through it all again for the solicitors! The rigmarole one has to go through with regard to money laundering, such as when paying off the mortgage, is also a bit of a nuisance. Whilst I appreciate the reasons, it still feels very much like guilty until proven innocent.
Someone keeps patting this looney on the back, stop it!!

DONT BUY FROM SELLERS who use EVRI on eBay
my 2 parcels where incorrectly left at the wrong address
''Proof of Delivery'' photo was not my shed
when contacted, eBay said that EVRI had confirmed they had delivered to my postcode
and so, despite thousands of purchases over the years, eBay have refused a refund
back to the high-street methinks.......![]()

Coming down the A12 yesterday there was a "Roadworks" sign.WAMT Well, this week! Folks over the road had an electrical outage. It turns out that the mains cable connection had corroded in the street. They brought a generator, to keep them supplied. Signs men came, then left. digging crew came, then left. Repair crew came, ordered bits, then left. Came back another day, fixed the cable, then left. A lorry with a grab came and cleared to spoil, then left. Another lorry brought concrete and backfill, then left. Another crew tidied up, then left, leaving the signage and fencing. The generator was finally picked up, so no "brumming" 24 hours a day. Bank holiday now, so still navigating the temporary signage! In my day, three blokes several spades, a toolbox and a truck would see it done in a day!
