What birds or bird have you seen today – communal thread, I hope!

9 Whooper swans dropped on to a local res this aft.

I was fortunate to be stood in right place when they left just before sunset, then got a group shot as they doubled back and headed North

I've had a bit of time setting up my new job, so decided to set some feeders up. I can't believe how many types of bird I've never seen before come out of the woodwork so to speak. I've also seen things I have never seen before like goldcrest, siskins, bullfinch and also 3 X treecreepers (unfortunately only had my phone that day) as well as blue, great, coal and long tailed tits and there's also a pair of pheasants that scroll by.

I don't mind helping when I can ... first off, what kind of camera, lens, and software are you using? I think that's a good place to start.

I lucked out today and got a shot of an American Goldfinch. I don't usually see those at the feeder. It was overcast and snowing since Winter finally decided to make a showing. Mid-70's on Monday, mid-20's today.

Nice shot, Jeff, I like it's color but I especially like the ice. I think your camera focused on it.

Hi the camera is a Nikon D3400 use for the majority with a sigma 150-600mm lens. I haven't used any software these are as taken.

I highly suggest you use some editing software. If you don't want to spend any money, take a look at "gimp," I understand it's free and pretty good.

is this a young crane? the colouring of the neck and head is wrong for an adult but it doesn't look like anything else!

It was a long way off through the heat haze, this is pretty close to a 100% crop at 700mm.
