You didn't think it was worth scratching the side containing the data then?Oh, and here's a picture (just took it!) of a disk that is STILL working PERFECTLY! After a real nice knifejob. The knife is sharp and I pushed it hard into the coating.
I wanted to see how well protected the disks are. About to put my knife to a cheapo disk and see how well it holds up to this one.You didn't think it was worth scratching the side containing the data then?
He did....but not the side that the data is read fromYou didn't think it was worth scratching the side containing the data then?
Barbeque? Just need excess heat and something to collect any spills
Yeah OkHe did....but not the side that the data is read from
Not just me thinking that then.Yeah Ok
Loads of scratched discs, but still none on the side the data is read from
Don't have any sandpaper unfortunately. And no, CDs are not resilient at all. Though DVDs can't read data with scratches on that side either, it seems.Pretty impressive if it can still read the data with those scratches on it.
Try a bit of sandpaper rubbed over an area instead.
I was curious why this had run for 2 pages, on the finer points of destroying CD's and you are posting pictures of scratched DVD's thats all.For Cobra. Outlined line is a scratch from the other side - this is a CD. No such lines appear on DVDs.
High expectations, eh?I was curious why this had run for 2 pages, on the finer points of destroying CD's and you are posting pictures of scratched DVD's thats all.
I'm sure is not a wind up thread in the slightest.
One does like to keep a modicum of decorum around the place where possibleHigh expectations, eh?
I've got a CESG (secret/IL5) approved shredder, happy to pop them through it for you. Guaranteed nobody can read them afterwards.
