what to do with my D70?

Long story short, tripod failed and D70 now has a damaged chassis. The battery housing has snapped meaning the battery no longer stays in and has to be held in place

Bonus is, the camera still works :cool:

Ive since replaced it but Ive got it sat here and Im wondering what to do with it.

How easy will it be to pick up a replacement chassis?

Throw the D70 in the bin, sell the lenses and stuff and get a L lens!!
 
Yup I have a 50D (its an amazing paperweight)

as for the username...well its something different
 
Got one, it said in the post before the mod took it upon themselves to edit it.

Hadnt thought of that, not that it matters now anyway as the lot is getting ebayed
 
perhaps you could point me in the direction of the rules so that I can be sure I dont break them again. I have looked through one set of rules but found no information relating to that certain part of my post, a little enlightenment please?

Ah, I took "checking interest" to mean "would anyone be interested in....." or "i might sell....."

I would consider turning it into an Infra Red camera. Give you images which are a bit different. I'm thinking something similar with my old D200.
 
Whilst we're on the subject of rules could you let me know what you'd prefer to change your user name to please. :)

We don't normally consider changes but most people generally register with something pronouncable. :p
 
its being kept for the time being, going to experiment with some astrophotography.
