Sorry for the boring question, not really expecting any replies but thought I'd ask anyway. Does anyone have a favourite font or fonts for when writing letters?

I tend to use Calibri and sometimes the light version, but I'm getting a little bored of it and looking for any suggestions.

EDIT: Quite liking Public Sans Thin Regular (thin doesn't print so well).

WingDings! Hard to read so recipients can't see all the typos!!!

So apparently Public Sans was created and approved by the US Government in 2019. That'll explain why I kept leaning in a certain direction whilst typing...

The one at the local church is bijou but adequate...

;)

I like Trebuchet MS.

Dave

That looks very similar to Public Sans, perhaps slightly more compressed, which could be handy if wanting to keep a letter on one page without reducing the font size. Cheers

I write in good old Times New Roman, but I also like Palatino, which is similar, but gives me a better idea of what it will look like on a Kindle as TNR isn't an option on there.

I like that Palatino, it strikes me as leaning more towards a literacy font if that makes sense, as in for books etc?

Helvetica used to be a favourite, although corporate requirements for first Calibri and then Ebrima have meant I've not used it for a while.

I do the same. "ll write an entire chapter, then run it through Grammarly to check for maybe a couple of typos, and it finds...

I'm finding this more often than I'd like, where I think I've wrote the correct word only to go over it and wonder why on earth I didn't spot it whilst writing. It tends to be more with adaptations of words rather than a completely different word, such as I'd write "did" when I meant to say "didn't". Maybe I'm losing it in my middle age! lol

I bought a book called The Bonjour Effect a couple of years ago. The font was too small and indistinct to read comfortably, but the pages had wide margins (and there were quite a lot). I've no idea what the font was, but it made for a much less enjoyable experience than anticipated.

A favourite font for writing letters ? My pen only has one font, many would say it’s a scrawl, If I’m writing a letter it’s a pen and paper, to either friends or business, anything else via the computer is an email.
