Yep, that's the one fella :) F/2.8 --> F/4 doesn't really bother me tbh, and I'd be tempted to sell the F5 to help fund it... Decisions!

Had a play with one a focus, the 16-35 that is... really nice bit of kit! Not totally sure why Nikon bothered slapping VRII in it though, but oh well!

As for camera's, I'm still new to all this and learning all the time, so

Currently have:
D90
18-105 Kit lens


Want:
Nikon 35mm 1.8 lens
70-300 lens
And probably eventually a wide angle for landscapes.


Need:

Some talent so I can get some decent pictures!
 
Ive just got a 120-300mm which was my main aim this year.
Id like to get rid of the 17-35mm + 24-70mm and go back to the 17-55 IS i used to have.

Another D700 & SB-900. Trade the 85 1.8 in for the 1.4 AF-D version. Probably get the 70-300 VR again at some point, should never have sold it :bang:
 
I want in this order
EF 300 f/2.8 IS
1Dmk4

and if money will allow
a 5Dmk2 or a 1Ds mk3 or maybe a 2nd 1Dmk4
and a 16-35mm f/2.8

will sell the 450D and the 10-22mm and probably give the 500D to my Dad.

But the new Canon 200-400mm F4 i.s with built in 1.4 teleconvertor could

temp me when it is released

I'm currently looking to get an 85 1.4G and then hopefully a second body during this year. I would like to say that's all I'll ever need but you know how it goes!

Here's a question that's related (maybe needs to be moved to a separate topic)

D700 would definitely be amazing, but involves a change of lenses to fx. I don't feel I'd need to go above 6400 ISO at any time which apparently the d7000 is very capable up to. It seems that above 6400 is where the d700 comes into it's own over the d7000 (iso wise)

If that's my main reason for considering the d700... perhaps I could go d700/d7000 combo. Then again I like two the same or i'd constantly be leaning to the "better" body.
