    Critique Singapore - Marina Bay

Been far too long since I last posted here! So I'd like some feedback on this one from Singapore :)

    Woodcote Cyclocross

Haven't really photographed cycling before (usually on the bike!) so thought I'd have a go at the Woodcote CX Sportive today Any advice for future trips more than welcome! Matt

    Man vs Machine - A380

Fairford shots are to come, but the ones on here put mine to shame anyway :p Here's something a bit different, taken at Heathrow last week. Comments/Critique welcome - one of my last shots taken on the D40, just upgraded to the D5000  Matt

    From Heathrow Yesterday

I know! That was almost as soon as we'd arrived there - just put the camera on the tripod and set the timer...turned round and realised I'd ruined my A380 shot by including myself :p Will have to go another time to correct myself!

    From Heathrow Yesterday

Had a nice 80 mile cycle to heathrow and back in training for John O'Groats to Land's End this summer and was glad I decided to take the Nikon with me :) Here's a few from the hour I spent there And finally, my personal favourite...making use of the gorillapod for the...

Here are my shots from Fairford - I'm very pleased considering my 55-200vr suddenly looked small on saturday! More on my flickr - http://www.flickr.com/photos/mattlandells Comments appreciated as always :)

    Back with some cycling

Been off the forums for months now; so busy with school etc. but managed to get out on the road bike with a friend for some photos. Quite pleased with a couple considering how rusty I am :P Looking forward to cycling the Ridgway this weekend, trying to ignore the weather forecast...

    Beginners DSLR

I'd also look at the Nikon D40 and the Sony A200 - both good cameras, but if you want a lot of zoom range, £250 isn't really going to be enough unless you go for something older like the Canon D30 you have above.

    Nikkor 50mm F1.8?

Yeah, bit expensive though, considering the 1.8 is under £100 and I'd prefer to keep saving for the 70-300vr tbh Just wondering if anyone here had the D40 and 50mm f1.8

    Nikkor 50mm F1.8?

With Christmas not too far off now, was thinking of trying to get the 50mm f1.8 from the US (as my dad is going there conveniently before christmas :p ) The one question I have - is it worth getting with a D40? Will manual focus be annoying? Will they be releasing an af-s version of the f1.8...

    Finally! A second lens!

Adventure 6 is a great bag for the money, especially if like me you do a fair bit of walking/cycling :) I also love getting new kit - if only I could afford that pleasure more often :p
