    Which SD cards ? Brand-name or cheap-brand ?

Play.com own brand are made by Toshiba. A 4gb Class 6 SDHC is only £9.99 - I use them in my D90 and find them very good. Nikon recommend Toshiba.

    Nikon D90: which lens(es)??

Danbroad: thank you for your very helpful reply. I am a relative newby to "serious" photography and do not own any Nikon gear. I have looked at the photozene and Rockwell web sites and found them useful. Thanks again. :)

    Nikon D90: which lens(es)??

I am about to change from an Olympus E500 twin lens kit to a Nikon D90. This comes with a new 18-105 as a kit £150 extra alternative, but I am wondering whether I should buy the body and invest in: Nikon 18-70 f3.5-4.5 (£165-£170) or Nikon 18-55 f3.5-5.6 VR (about the same price) or ...

    Advice needed for printer.

See my post above, re ip5200. Best to use Canon paper and inks - not worth the waste of trying any others, IMO.

    Advice needed for printer.

I've had an ip5200 (predecessor of the ip5300, but essentially the same) for two years and love it. No problems and superb photos with Canon paper and inks (Valeshop by far the best prices). If you can find an ip5200, go for that for the extra inks. Otherwise, you won't be disappointed.

    Sensor cleaning systems comparison

The point is that, this "simple maintenance task" should not be necessary. What's the bet that the Canon 40D will have this "clever marketing"?

Interesting test of the current systems employed by the various manufacturers (wot, no Nikon?): http://pixinfo.com/en/articles/ccd-dust-removal/ :rules:

UK Road Tax - Sign Petition by February 20th 2007

And so they should: we all know that people who drive red cars are dangerous psychopaths. :bang:

UK Road Tax - Sign Petition by February 20th 2007

Yes, I'm a car driver, but disassociate myself from the perpetual "us poor motorists" whingers. I am no fan of the Westminster government, but will support any reasonable move to reduce motorised traffic use, providing any revenue raised is ring-fenced to help fight global warming. Come on, we...

I have happily used Kood filters: UK made and at least as good as Cokin. http://www.koodinternational.com/
