    Iceland Aurora

I must've gone just after you went (12th - 21st), and we didn't get to see the magic but, still had a fantastic time. Your shots are fantastic and until now, I wasn't too upset I'd not been fortunate... meh!

Iceland - Goðafoss ("Waterfall of The Gods")

Whilst on a self-drive touring holiday last month of Iceland I visited Goðafoss, a 12m high waterfall, up in the north of the country. I decided it would be a good place to have a play with my 10-stop filter, and took a raft of shots, including a sequence of bracketed exposures using full...

Iceland: Oh dear, oh dear! :D

We're already planning our next trip for next summer! We've pegged some places to stay around the country from this trip, and will plug the gaps. Bit peeved that I didn't get to play with all my toys (filters, etc.) and had to take quick shots between storms, etc. but, was an amazing trip...

Iceland: Oh dear, oh dear! :D

We were up at 4am this morning to get our flight back (very reluctantly!) but, hopefully, we'll trawl through the pics over the next few days and get the better ones up on Flickr ;)

Iceland: Oh dear, oh dear! :D

Ended up calling 112, and the police arranging for a truck from Vik coming to pull us out! The guy didn't ask for any money but, he seemed happy to be offered 2,000 ISK for his trouble! :) After the drag back by a few metres, I kept a very hard-left, and ventured deeper along the tracks...

Iceland: Oh dear, oh dear! :D

We were on our way up to see the glacier at Sólheimajökull, and I sadly made a bad decision in the storm that we had, and ended up stuck! :/ It was well worth getting stuck in the end though, the glacier was fantastic! I've got over 1,200 photographs to go through yet, and hopefully we've...

Iceland: Oh dear, oh dear! :D

Day two of my 10 day self-drive tour of Iceland, and I only got myself stuck going up off-road! Even makes me laugh now! :D IMG_4185-Flickr by virmin78, on Flickr Enjoy!

    Iguana at Twycross

Great shots! I like both of them! :) Try shooting Chinese water dragons, as I'm sure they have a natural instinct to ensure that they make glass as dirty as possible, in as short a time imaginable! It really doesn't matter how big/small, the lizard is, if they want to make taking their...

The Snake Thread **some snakes feeding shots inside**

Oh, to still have my BRB (Brazilian rainbow boa) now I've got a DSLR! Catch BRBs in the right light, and they look truly spectacular!

    Mojave Collared Lizard

He's the hardest of the two, as he doesn't like human contact at all... usually tries (and succeeds) to escape at cleaning time and makes a drama of getting him back in the viv. Once he's back home, he's fine and calms down straight away but, until then, he's hissing and trying to bite any...

    Mojave Collared Lizard

I'd been busy this morning cleaning out my vivariums, and for the collareds, this involves sieving ~20Kg of sand. Not really much fun but, once everything was done and the lizards returned to their home, decided to take a quick shot to show a friend. He's skittish so, it was a case of being...

    Taking shots of stars

I've got that exact timer, and it seems pretty good. Only thing is, I sometimes forget to set the camera to "bulb" for the shutter speed, and switch off the 2sec delay if I've been using it. Both are user errors though! I need to practice night skies too. :) Sent from my HTC Desire using TP Forums

    Fungi

Would you believe I did get shots just like your edit - well, the angle anyway! I was unsure of those and went with the posted pic! If I get chance I'll add some to my Flikr. Thanks for the tips too - was a pain kneeling and bent over trying to what I got. I should have tried with my tripod...

What is the best SD card ?

The best one, is the one full of cracking photos! :D I use Transcend class 10 SDHC cards myself. I've got a 16GB and a load of 8GB cards. Look on Amazon or My Memory. Others will probably suggest other makes but, these are working well for me. Lifetime warranty too... Sent from my HTC Desire...
