Nice triptych for week 3. Full of colour, well lit and sharp as a button.
Fantastic colours in week 3.
I know that fruit was an obvious choice, but this is a really lovely twist on the theme.
I think it would be a bit more balanced if it was arranged with the third close-up shot in the centre . . . but that's incredibly pedantic of me
I love the edit of week 2 too. Nice use of the dead space to the right.
EDIT : Just scrolled past week3 again. It really has some impact to it! Draws your eye right in
Great idea for week 3, fabulous colours.
I do wonder slightly what it would be like to have the whole kiwi in the first segment so you move from whole to sliced to close up (but not necessarily in that order), although I'm not sure it would have the same colour impact
Great interpretation on the theme as well
wow, I love the kiwi triptych.. vivid, lusciousness perfectly framed!
the poetry shot is gorgeous too.. look so beautiful when they are sleeping.. works very well putting the text in the space
That triptych is really vibrant, caught my eye straight away. The detail in the right-hand panel is fantastic. I do like the way you have a curve following on from the left side of the middle panel to the right side of the left panel.
Having said that however, because the difference between the really close up kiwi on the right is so pronounced compared to the other two, something feels a little bit out of balance.
But I can't like the curve and not like the curve can I! So I'll shut up now, it's great!
I really like what you have done with the kiwi fruit - very imaginative. It doesn't feel off balance to me as my eye scans L-R and is stopped by the large curve of the last image. Maybe you could just lighten that one a fraction, though.
OTOH your curves shot is making me dizzy!
Really like what you've done with WK2 by putting the poem alongside the baby
As for chopped I that triptych. The black framing against the vibrancy of the kiwi is spot on. I agree it's a little unbalanced but that doesn't detract from my enjoyment
...
I just wish some idiot hadn't decided to vandalise the 1st phone box! grrr. I might see if I can PP it out later.
...
now, you see, if you hadn't mentioned it
no-one would have noticed!
Just reading your thread for the first time - and loving it. :lap::lap:
You've pulled off the selective colouring shots really well - I might have to change my mind about not being too keen on it. The baby in the peotry shot is totally scrummy and your picutre does him justice. The young dancer - just beautiful! Oh - and the bridge shots! The first one made me think I shouldn't have had a second glass of wine with dinner - very intriguing!
Fantastic first month - I really look forward to seeing next week, too.

1st time for me looking at your 52. Mus ssay, 4 wks, 4 great pics from you. Unlike a few others who have said they are not big fans of selective colouring, I AM, and I love your Wk1 and Wk4 pictures! Lovely poem and image for Wk2 and the kiwi picture is so good that I could almost taste them in my mouth!
Absolutely love the dancer shot1 The selective colour works really brilliantly here.
Well spotted.
(I don't think I would dare walk over that bridge.... :ek
week 6 - present
A simple still life, may change by the end of the week but I like the simplicity.
C&C welcome
