On holiday at the beginning of August, I visited Exmoor Zoo, by the time I got home I couldn't for the life of me remember what the poor little fella (or female) is. If anyone has any idea can you let me know, if it helps I believe he is Sri Lankan:

A Capybara is a kind of rodent.

And Exmoor zoo claim to have at least one of them

Having also seen a BBC documentary about Capybaras years ago, my money's on that.

I'm pretty sure thats an Agouti
(A south American rodent IIRC and related to the Guinea pig)

It's definiitely not a prairie dog, they're like fat meerkats

My money is still Capybara (I spelt it wrong the first time sorry)

Yup it's a Agouti. Capybara are much larger and differently shaped.

They were in Mexico when I was there on Hols...

They looked like a cross between a rabbit & a rat, so we called them "Rattits".
