I was considering going for an FX for landscape stuff, as I have the D500 already for wildlife and general duty, and while it is a great camera it's not really right for that job (I have taken some of my best shots with that though - landscapes as well). A friend was thinking of getting rid of...

For me yes, I just can't have anything "incomplete"... I'm one of those who keeps all the boxes, with contents etc... It's just the way I am!

There's nothing wrong with the batteries, I just like everything squared away properly in the bag... I'm one of "those people" I'm afraid!

Just acquired a D800 to go with my kit, and have a couple of batteries without those plastic end cover protectors... what are they called? Can't find any on eBay or Amazon with any search term I've tried!

Excellent shots! I'm sure I know that castle - I stood in the marshy area opposite for about an hour, freezing, whilst waiting for my friend to come back from his photo spot (which I think was pretty close to yours). All those scenes have a sold air of lonliness and cold - extremely atmospheric...

That's certainly a "wow" inspiring photograph.. what a view! Mind you, I don't like heights, so I'd be having a massive panic attack if I was that bird!

I got a good deal out of O2 recently (I have been with them for a VERY long time though...)... unlimited calls, unlimited texts and 16Gb data for £15, on both phones (mine and the Mrs). I think that was pretty good?

Really nice, close capture thatt, but yes - full antlers might have been nice! I think I'll have to venture into the park again this weekend. I live right next to Bushey Park, so there really is no excuse!
