So the 40D apparently has 9 cross-type sensors, which when combined with a 2.8 lens results in better focusing performance. So how come when I use my Tamron 17-55 2.8 lens, the center focus point is still much better at focusing in low light than any of the outer sensors. Can anyone tell me why...

It seems that when facebook shrinks the images, it doesn't use a nice filter (like bicubic) so you usually get aliasing, especially if the image has been sharpened a lot.

Spent around £600 with Amazun over the last week or so, and everything has been delivered earlier than expected. One item (computer parts) was from ADMI, i checked out there feedback first and was happy to go with them based on their good reviews. I got nothing but praise for Amazun now....so...

I bought the non-VC, and i find it pretty good in low light, and quick to focus. Thats compared to my 18-55 IS anyway, others may find it lackluster. Me? Love the thing, my father inlaw now wants to buy one, even though when i started togging a year ago, he said never to buy a Tamron lens...

I probably could run CS5 on this PC at a squeeze. But i told the missus that it wouldn't run it, hence the importance of buying a new PC. If she sees me 'shopping' on it, she might change her mind:lol:
