    T-Shirt slogans for cancer sufferers..?

Firstly, sorry to hear the news and I wish him well, here's hoping the extended time period has been underestimated. Depending on his humour, I always remember Barry Sheene towards the end of his battle saying something like "I don't like cancer, but it's growing on me!" which I thought both...

    Internal door lock

The ones we had (Linden I think they were), certainly took a firm hold and held through a toddler trying to open a door, my concern would be the contours of your door frame and whether there is enough area for the adhesive pad to stick.

    Internal door lock

When our son was younger we had a similar system to this which prevented him opening the door to a display cabinet. This could be fitted to the top of the door and the frame...

    Oil Painting

The frame it is in is clearly quite narrow, and so, if you were willing to lose the damaged area behind a mount, then a good framer should be able to add a broad mount and a fresh frame to cover the damaged area, and still retain the majority of the painting. you wouldn't need to lose the same...

    Oil Painting

If the damage you mention is confined to the very edge, and depending on the composition of the painting, it may be possible for a good framer to reframe the piece and conceal the damage, or at least make it less visible. I have a great framer locally to me (Northants) who has produced a number...

    Hobbies

As an avid follower of the British Superbike series I attend a number of races throughout the season and so 2 years ago started creating some race related drawings. This has led to friendships with several riders but one young racer and his family in particular, and a small sideline for myself...

    Cooker Hoods & charcoal filters

I replaced our old extractor to a new one last year, and like yourself connected it to the existing ventilation tube to outside. The instructions on our new unit said to remove the charcoal filters if externally vented.

Anyone bought one of these cheap mixers?

We have the earlier 7L Andrew James mixer sadly now discontinued ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/Andrew-James-Large-Automatic-Silver/dp/B0076YG9D0 ) which we have had no issues with at all in the 6 years we've had it. It used to be used regularly but isn't used as heavily now, but has never let us...
