Even though it's clunking, have you tried to remove it form the external casing, and plug it directly into the mainboard via SATA/IDE? Might appear in Windows and give you a chance to try and copy the data off onto the local Hard Drive.
I have a Corsair Force 3 in my MacBook Pro and it's a fantastic drive. I did a load of research before purchasing and looked at the same drives you are, but overall the Force 3 appeared to be best, and also a friend purchased the same drive before i did and had nothing but good comments on it...
Hi Peter,
I can't say as I know enough about coding to change it so it only loads the actual images for that page.
If i delete the thumbnails line of code, then it won't load the thumbnails i guess and if i don't load the full images, it won't load them when the page gets loaded...? Is that...
Hi Phil,
The images are 1024x682 not 768 as my point and shoot shoots them in a funny res, and they then get resized weirdly.
What size are yours on your customer galleries and what did you use to get them to that size as it sounds ideal?
Thanks.
I know there are errors and no alt tags etc etc, hence the "it's being updated." I'd rather get the images and speed sorted and then worrying about errors etc.
The thumbnails aren't the issue, as they're only around 7kb each anyway.
I'm guessing it's due to how many pics there are of each car.
Obviously i could reduce them, so there are only 10-15 of each, but people like to see lots of pics showing all the detail etc.
Just wondered whether there is a way of reducing them to say 100KB or less without losing much quality?
Hi All,

The old gallery is here: Old Gallery
The new...
I had the same thing on mine in April, 4 days out of warranty.
Is yours one of the 'big' PS3 consoles, or new Slim ones?
Mine's a 'big' one and i rang Sony, and they repaired of FoC as it's a common fault - Blu-Ray drive failure. IIRC they only charge £100 for a replacement anyway.
HTH...
I'd have said you need to download the HotKey utility from Toshiba's website then, if the brightness etc aren't working either, as they control the buttons usually :)

Not sure whether this is any use, but on most laptops, if you press FN & F7, it locks the touchpad, so there may be another key combination to unlock the keyboard?
