I like the gaussian blur but I find my eyes can't settle anywhere and just wander around the picture. I think it would be a stronger image if there was a definate focal point. But then I'm still learning the craft, so what do I know?

Yes, sorry but I agree about the light. If it's local it's a good excuse to go back early or late in the day. Late in the day has the added bonus of open pubs.

How cool must it be to have that shot in your portfolio. I'm going to the outer hebrides in THREE days time so I hope I get plenty of interesting weather

Lovely pictures but I can't help wondering if you had gone to the right and shot at less of an angle would you have been able to include more of the bridge/parapet. As I don't know the area your's might have been the only viewpoint that excluded something ugly - so I will just shut up for now.

Excellent picture. It might be better if you crop a little off the top. Very well composed and would look good on your wall.
