Hello all! Long time no post. Just thought I'd post some shots from my first attempt at capturing circuit based racing with an slr.

Some derelict buildings have an atmosphere that really transfers well into photographs. I'm afraid this one doesn't imho. The second shot of what looks like a garage with a collapsing roof has some merit, but the blown sky and 'straight out of camera' feel of the processing lets it down.

The first one just looks like typical lens flare, the camera will still get this even without a direct light source.
Second one looks nice, though you'd need a pretty strong grad filter to keep the exposure balanced.

My idea was that everything bar the image in the filter would be slightly oof, but this one seemed to be the best out of several attempts.
Maybe if I did a similar shot as a composite of several photos I could make it perfect but that would've meant planning. If I ge the chance I'll post one of...

It's my own idea in as much as I can't remember seeing it anywhere else, I'm sure I'll get round to trying it again at some point.
The plasma ball was just a way of bumping the thread without seeming too needy :lol:
